Artist book created for the Flow State exhibition at Make Southwest, using pigments and paper dyes made by the artist from gathered, grown, and foraged materials, including gorse and hawthorn from Dartmoor, cochineal and logwood from Mexico, and scraps of copper and iron.
Images are interspersed with texts exploring liminal identity: the hermaphroditic nature of slugs, being from two places at once, and how colours drawn from the land connect us to land rights, lineage, and the more-than-human.

Libro de artista creado para la exposición Flow State en Make Southwest, utilizando pigmentos y tintes de papel hechos por el artista a partir de materiales recolectados, cultivados y forrajeros, incluidos aulagas y espinos de Dartmoor, cochinilla y palo de campeche de México, y trozos de cobre y hierro.
Las imágenes se intercalan con textos que exploran la identidad liminal: la naturaleza hermafrodita de las babosas, el hecho de ser de dos lugares a la vez y cómo los colores extraídos de la tierra nos conectan con los derechos sobre la tierra, el linaje y lo más que humano.
