How can clay catalyse a reconnection with soil, earth and environment?

Supported by the British Council and the Crafts Council to travel to Michoacán, Mexico, in 2020 in collaboration with Guapamacátaro Centre for Art and Ecology and Taller Escuela Ceramica to explore sourcing, processing and working with indigenous clay as a way in to environmental arts education.

Through the project we will be developing a series of simple earth-based workshops to share with local community and wider networks, as part of a pilot programme for the upcoming ecological art and craft school at Guapamacátaro.
